Best Colleges offers another comprehensive scholarship database that can be searched by demographic or area of study.
The Ford Family Foundation provides three types of scholarships to Oregon residents: the Ford Scholars program, Ford Transfer Scholars program, and Ford Opportunity Scholars program.
Trinity Education Foundation is a private foundation that offers scholarships to incoming and returning students attending Christian colleges and seminaries in the Pacific Northwest.
It’s worth noting that some of these scholarship search engine sites require registration. And, while this registration won’t entail bank account numbers, the administrators of these sites can make your registration information (name, email address, major, etc.) available to interested third parties.

Certain banks and financial institutions offer private student loans that can help bridge the gap between federal student aid, grants, and scholarships through Multnomah, and the remaining balance owed. Although benefits may be similar to federal loans, such as deferred payments while students are enrolled, these lenders may require a credit check and/or cosigner and will vary on interest rates, loan origination fees, and other factors. Private student loans are separate from federal student loans, and students should assess their eligibility for federal student loans for more favorable provisions.

Financial Aid Resources
The Student Guide is a comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education. Grants, loans, and work-study are the three major forms of aid available through the Department’s Federal Student Aid office.
FSA ID Request and Information allows the student (and parent, if applicable) to create a unique and secure means to access your personal information on the Department of Education systems. The FSA ID is used to electronically sign the FAFSA application and loan application, as well as to retrieve loan history and total loan debt through a national database (NSLDS).
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) establishes federal financial aid eligibility, as well as private funding from many colleges and universities.
After you apply for aid through Multnomah and complete your FAFSA, you’ll receive your financial aid package letting you know if you qualify for work-study.
The amount of work-study you’re offered reflects your earning potential over the course of the academic year. What you earn will depend on your pay rate and the number of hours you work throughout the year.
Campus jobs pay the minimum wage and you can work up to 20 hours per week. Typical annual earnings range from $1,300-2,500. Earnings through work are paid directly to the student.

Yellow Ribbon Program: Multnomah is a participating institution in the Yellow Ribbon program. If you are eligible for benefits at the 100% rate, the Yellow Ribbon program is an additional benefit, which pays for tuition and fees in excess of the yearly benefit cap. Currently, we do not limit the number of student-veterans eligible for the Yellow Ribbon program.
